Adventure Retreat to Peru
A Journey of Mindfulness in Daily Living

Join us on an Adventure Retreat that explores the wonders of Peru while incorporating daily meditation practice. This thirteen day sacred tour will take travelers to Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Circles of Moray, P’isaq Market, Machu Picchu and more. Each day, participants will deepen their mindfulness practice through formal sittings, discussions, yoga and authentic Andean ceremonies. Travelers will be served organic vegetarian food and can avail themselves to massages, outdoor herbal baths, nature hikes, etc.

Landcost (not including Amazon Option) is $2950 and includes all quality hotels, transport, specially selected guides, all entrance tickets, workshops with authentic healers, all breakfasts and most meals. Not included, is round trip airfare from your home to Cusco via Lima, airport tax, tips and other personal expenses.

Who are Gloria and Howard?

Gloria and Howard are both dedicated to living mindfully. It is an integral part of their professional and personal life. They are grateful to share their experience and understanding of mindfulness practice and sincerely hope all of their work helps others lead more fulfilling lives. Gloria and Howard look forward to bringing this mindfulness practice to the sacred journey in Peru.

Howard Blumenfeld, Ph.D., received his doctorate in Psychology and is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist in California. He has specialized in the field of self-regulation and stress reduction since 1977.

Gloria Kamler, M.A., is an educator and practitioner who has worked with pain and stress relief for 27 years. As the founder of the Institute for Self-Integration in Santa Monica, Calif., she offers a range of holistic therapies including mindfulness meditation programs.

Gloria and Howard participated in a Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program for professionals under the direction of Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., the founder of the MBSR program from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Also, they have completed training with other MBSR program staff members.

Howard and Gloria are long-time students of Shinzen Young, the founder of the Vipassana Support International Institute (VSI) and have been trained by Shinzen as Mindfulness meditation facilitators with VSI.
